Homes in Peterlee
Peterlee was built as a post-war new town, so much of its housing dates from the 1950s onwards, laid out in estates of semis, terraces and flats, with newer developments added since. Many homes have had uPVC fitted for years, and that glazing is now commonly due for repairs or replacement.

Common Window & Door Problems in Peterlee
New-town housing reaching middle age
Much of Peterlee was built within a few decades, so many homes reach similar points in their glazing life at the same time. Hinges wear, seals tire and units mist.
Coastal wind
Close to the Durham coast, Peterlee gets its share of wind and driven rain. Sound seals and well-fitted frames keep both out.
Repair or replace
Not every tired window needs replacing. If the frame is sound, a repair is often the cheaper fix, and you will be told honestly which applies.
